Major Mark P. Paige Executive Officer, 1st Battalion, 6th Marines

Major Paige was commissioned in May 2007 after graduating from Brandeis University with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Politics. After completion of the BOC and IOC, Second Lieutenant Paige was assigned to V32 as the India Company Weapons Platoon Commander. He deployed in 2008 in support of the 22D MEU. Following the deployment, the 22D MEU was recalled in 2010 and responded to the earthquake in Haiti and Operation UNIFIED RESPONSE. Upon return he was assigned as the 81mm Mortar Platoon Commander where he deployed in 2011 to Afghanistan in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM. Upon return from Afghanistan, Captain Paige was assigned to Marine Corps System Command as the Project Officer for Tactical Terminal Systems. In 2014, Captain Paige attended Expeditionary Warfare School.  In 2015, he was assigned to V18 as the Alpha Company Commander where he deployed in 2016 in support of the Black Sea Rotational Force. Upon return, he was assigned as the V18 Weapons Company Commander where he deployed in 2017 in support of the Unit Deployment Program. In 2018, Major Paige received orders to PP&O to serve as the Deputy Infantry Advocate. Major Paige was involved in the Close Combat Lethality Task Force and the Commandant’s infantry reorganization. In 2020, Major Paige received orders to his current billet of Executive Officer, 1st Battalion, 6th Marines. As Executive Officer he served as the USMC Task Force Commander in support of the Humanitarian Assistance Disaster Relief mission operation UNIFIED EFFORT. Personal awards include Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (third award, one with “combat V”), and Combat Action Ribbon. He and his wife Kristin have one son, Oxford.
