Major Hubert graduated from The Ohio State University with a major in International Business and attended OCC-201, earning a commission in March 2010. Major Hubert then graduated Basic Officer Course and Infantry Officer Course 2-11 before reporting to 2d Battalion, 1st Marines in Camp Pendleton, California.
While at 2d Battalion, 1st Marines, Major Hubert served as the 81mm Mortar Platoon Commander and Weapons Company Executive Officer deploying on the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit supporting operations in the Pacific. Major Hubert then transferred to 1st Battalion, 1st Marines to deploy in support of Operation Enduring Freedom to Sana’a Yemen from January to June 2014.
In July 2014, Major Hubert reported to Infantry Unit Leaders Training Company, Advanced Infantry Training Battalion, School of Infantry – West and served as the Officer in Charge for the advanced infantry courses for 1 year. Major Hubert then served as the Executive Officer and Officer in Charge of Infantry Unit Leader Course, Infantry Small Unit Leaders Course and Scout Sniper Basic Course to round out his tour.
In January 2017, Major Hubert reported to 6th Marine Regiment and deployed immediately to Helmand Province, Afghanistan in support of Operation Freedom’s Sentinel with Task Force Southwest as a Joint Terminal Attack Controller and Battle Captain from April 2017 until January 2018. In March 2018, Major Hubert assumed command of Weapons Company, 3d Battalion, 6th Marines and deployed on the Unit Deployment Program 19.2 as the Forward Deployed Battalion – East where he finished the tour as the Operations Officer.
From March 2020-March 2023, Major Hubert served as the Commanding Officer at Recruiting Station Cleveland.
In March 2023, he reported to 1st Battalion, 8th Marines where he currently serves as the Executive Officer.
Major Hubert’s personal decorations include: (3) Meritorious Service Medal, (1) Navy/Marine Corps Commendation medal, and (3) Navy/ Marine Corps Achievement Medals.
