Lieutenant Colonel William T. Kerrigan

Lieutenant Colonel Will Kerrigan is from Stafford, VA. He graduated from Christopher Newport University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Governmental Administration.

As a company grade officer, his operational assignments include Combined Anti-Armor Team (CAAT) Platoon Commander, Rifle Company Executive Officer, and Headquarters and Service Company Commander, 3d Battalion, 6th Marines (Operation Iraqi Freedom); Rifle Company Commander, 2d Battalion, 7th Marines (Operation Inherent Resolve).

As a field grade officer, his operational assignments include Battalion Operations Officer and Battalion Executive Officer, 2d Battalion, 7th Marines (Operation Inherent Resolve). 

His supporting establishment assignments include Fleet Antiterrorism Platoon Commander, 3d FAST Company; Training Officer, Marine Corps Security Force Regiment; Commanding Officer, Marine Corps Recruiting Station Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

His joint assignment he was assigned to the White House and served as the Military Aide to the 45th and 46th President of the United States.

Lieutenant Colonel Kerrigan assumed command of The Beirut Battalion on 23 June 2022.

Lieutenant Colonel Kerrigan’s military and civilian education includes: Expeditionary Warfare School (EWS), Marine Corps Command and Staff College (CSC), and a Masters of Education from Liberty University. He is also a 2022 Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Seminar XXI National Security Policy Fellow and a 2023 Center of Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) Strategy and Statecraft Fellow.
